A few days before upgrading to Leopard, I stumbled upon a great Mac application called AppFresh, that automatically reads your Applications for installed apps, checks them against iUseThis to see if newer version is available and then conveniently allows you to download updates directly from its interface without having to hunt the .dmg file around the internet. Even though it is still in Alpha Preview it was one of the most useful finds for me lately.

Hm nice. I’ll stick with Debian’s apt though, which does something similar [and does it better because of the whole packaging architecture].
